Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetes affects 1.8 million Australians, that’s about 7% of the population.

So, how does it relate to your feet? High blood sugar levels, if not managed well, can damage blood vessels and nerves over time. This often leads to reduced circulation and loss of sensation in the feet. Since your feet are the furthest point from your heart and brain, they’re usually the first place to show early signs of problems like peripheral arterial disease or neuropathy.

That’s why diabetic foot care is so important. It includes a full check-up, with a neurovascular assessment to test both blood flow and nerve sensitivity. This helps catch any issues early, so you can stay ahead of potential complications.

Sports Podiatry

Did you know that 10–15% of all sports injuries affect the lower body? In high-impact sports like football, basketball, and running, that number jumps to 60–70%.

Sports podiatry focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing these types of injuries. Whether you're a professional athlete or just staying active for your health, it plays a key role in keeping you moving and injury-free.

We use an evidence-based approach to get the best results, with rehabilitation techniques designed to strengthen and support your lower limbs. Our goal is to improve your movement, boost performance, and prevent future injuries so you can stay active and perform at your best.

Biomechanical Assessment

A Podiatry Biomechanical Assessment is an in-depth evaluation of your posture, movement and body function. It helps identify imbalances, abnormalities or inefficiencies that may be causing pain, discomfort, or putting you at greater risk of injury.

During the assessment, we analyse key factors such as joint range of motion, muscle strength, postural alignment, and gait. This helps us gain a thorough understanding of how your body moves and functions. Based on these findings, we can implement a targeted treatment plan including strength rehabilitation, footwear adjustments, and custom orthotic prescriptions, to restore balance and prevent further injury.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Our custom foot orthotics are expertly crafted to support and align your feet, providing lasting relief from discomfort, enhancing functionality, and helping prevent future injury. Designed with the highest quality materials, our orthotics offer both superior comfort and durability, tailored specifically to the unique shape and size of your feet.

At Reboot Podiatry, we utilise cutting-edge 3D scanning technology to precisely capture the structure of your feet. Our orthotics are then created in a state-of-the-art lab using advanced 3D printing techniques, ensuring an exact, personalised fit down to the finest detail.

Children’s Podiatry

Your child's feet are the foundation of their growing body, supporting them as they play and develop. At Reboot Podiatry, we treat a range of foot and lower limb conditions in children to keep their feet strong, healthy, and pain-free.

Healthy feet are crucial for activities like running and jumping, which build strength, coordination, and balance. This helps your child excel in sports and supports their physical development.

Through tailored treatments and early intervention, we focus on improving foot alignment, function, and strength, helping your child reach their full potential in everyday activities and sports.

Dry Needling

What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a effective treatment intervention  for relieving muscle pain, reducing tightness, and improving mobility. It involves inserting thin, sterile needles into specific areas of tight muscle tissue.

Unlike acupuncture, which focuses on energy flow, dry needling directly targets musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction by stimulating affected muscles and tissues.

How does dry needling work?

When muscles tighten or become painful, they form "knots" or “trigger points”, which can limit movement and cause discomfort. Dry needling targets these areas by gently inserting fine needles into these muscles.

This helps release tension, reduce pain, and increase blood flow, promoting faster healing. It also improves flexibility, reduces tightness, and restores range of motion by stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.

Prolotherapy

What is Prolotherapy?

Prolotherapy is a natural, non-surgical treatment used to repair damaged tendons, ligaments, and muscles. It involves injecting a mixture of local anesthetic and a dextrose-based solution into the affected area, which stimulates the body’s healing response, promoting tissue repair and pain relief.

How does it work?

Prolotherapy boosts cellular metabolism by stimulating the mitochondria, the energy centers in our cells. This increases the production of adenosine triphosphate, which fuels the body’s natural healing process.

As a result, cellular turnover speeds up, helping tissues repair and regenerate quicker for better healing outcomes.

Home Visits

At Reboot Podiatry, we understand that visiting the clinic isn’t always possible. Because we care for people of all ages and a wide range of conditions, we know that some individuals may require support from the comfort of their own home.

That’s why we offer local home visits within the surrounding area. Our podiatrist brings the same high-quality, personalised care directly to you, delivered with professionalism, compassion, and convenience.
